Vizio TV Activation Setup

Vizio TV Activation Checklist

  1. Turn On Your Vizio TV
    • Plug it into power.
    • Power it on.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi
    • Select your Wi-Fi network.
    • Enter your Wi-Fi password.
  3. Complete Initial Setup
    • Choose your language.
    • Accept the Terms and Conditions.
  4. Get Your Activation Code
    • Wait for the activation screen.
    • Write down or remember the code shown.
  5. Visit vizio.com/setup
    • Use your phone, tablet, or computer.
    • Go to vizio.com/setup.
    • Enter the activation code.
  6. Sign In or Create an Account
    • If you have an account, sign in.
    • If not, create a new Vizio account.
  7. Complete Registration
    • Follow prompts until it confirms activation.
    • Update TV apps or firmware if prompted.

Alternate Activation Method

  1. Turn on your Vizio TV and make sure it’s plugged in and ready.
  2. Connect the TV to Wi-Fi
    • When the TV powers on, it should automatically guide you to the Wi-Fi setup screen.
    • Choose your network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
  3. Go through the on-screen setup
    • Choose language, region, and accept terms and conditions.
  4. Get the code for activation
  5. Use your phone, tablet, or computer
    • Open a browser and go to vizio.com/setup.
    • Enter the code displayed on your TV screen.
  6. Sign in or create a Vizio account
    • If you already have an account, just log in.
    • If not, you can create one right there.
  7. Complete registration
    • After entering the code and logging in, your TV will be activated.
    • You might be prompted to add apps or complete a firmware update.
Tip: If you don’t see a code or it doesn’t prompt you to activate, you can manually register your TV later under Settings > System > System Information and visiting vizio.com with your TV’s serial number.
